LA Jr. Kings (mm) survives Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (mm) comeback, wins 3-1

Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (mm) tried to dig itself out of a three-goal hole, but LA Jr. Kings (mm) held on for a 3-1 victory.

LA Jr. Kings (mm) took a 3-0 lead during the second period, only to have Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (mm) storm back on a Jonathan Weston goal 9:15 into the third period to pull to two goals down.

LA Jr. Kings (mm) got the win on the strength of a great game by Kailer Yamamoto, who had one goal and two assists. Yamamoto scored 7:23 into the first period to make the score 2-0 LA Jr. Kings (mm). Aaron Aragon assisted on the tally.

LA Jr. Kings (mm) also got points from Evan Johnson, who also grabbed two goals and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for LA Jr. Kings (mm) were Eetu Selanne, who had one.

In addition, Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (mm) received assists from Alex Aguirre and Austyn Playfair, who each chipped in one.

Garrett Nieto rejected 17 shots on goal for LA Jr. Kings (mm). LA Jr. Kings (mm) totaled 17 minutes in penalty time with one minor and one major and went 1-for-4 on the power play.
