Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Pittsburgh Penguins Elite (mm) defeated Belle Tire (mm) in a shootout 2-1 (2-1 SO).

The two teams needed eight turns to complete the shootout. Belle Tire (mm) got a shootout goal from Austin Levering. Pittsburgh Penguins Elite (mm) also got a shootout goal from Luc Lavella.

Pittsburgh Penguins Elite (mm) came back from a one-goal deficit to capture the victory. Pittsburgh Penguins Elite (mm) trailed 1-0 after a goal by Belle Tire (mm)'s Caleb Hute at 13:15 in the first period. Pittsburgh Penguins Elite (mm) knotted things up at 1-1 on a goal by Nick Long at 16:22 in the second period.

Pittsburgh Penguins Elite (mm) was led by goalie Chad Veltri, who finished with 28 saves while allowing one goal. Veltri managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.44 prior to the game.
