Team Comcast (mm) vanquishes Buffalo Jr. Sabres (mm) in shootout, 4-3 (2-0 SO)

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Team Comcast (mm) defeated Buffalo Jr. Sabres (mm) in a shootout 4-3 (2-0 SO).

The shootout featured four attempts between both teams. In addition to the clincher, Team Comcast (mm) got a shootout goal from Sean Lloyd.

Team Comcast (mm) made Buffalo Jr. Sabres (mm)'s netminders to work all game long, firing 33 shots and forcing 29 saves. Trevor Micucci made 26 stops and Bobby Dugan made three.

Team Comcast (mm) was helped by Austin Rann, who grabbed one goal. Rann scored 3:32 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Team Comcast (mm). Dave Melargani picked up the assist. Team Comcast (mm) also had goals scored by Eric DiPretoro and Boomer Miller, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Team Comcast (mm) were Brendan Ondick, who had two and Gregory Hendrickson and Chayse Primeau, who each chipped in one.

Buffalo Jr. Sabres (mm) excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Buffalo Jr. Sabres (mm) forced Team Comcast (mm) goalie Corbin Gustafson to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots.

Buffalo Jr. Sabres (mm) was led by Brendan Miller, who racked up one goal and one assist. Miller scored 13:23 into the third period to make the score 3-3. Owen Green assisted on the tally. Buffalo Jr. Sabres (mm) additionally got points from Collin Rutherford, who also had one goal and one assist. Daniel Tycznski also scored for Buffalo Jr. Sabres (mm). In addition, Buffalo Jr. Sabres (mm) received assists from Ryan Peters and Matthew Damico, who contributed one a piece.
