Perth Pelicans survives Perth Sharks comeback, wins 4-2

Perth Sharks tried its best to erase a four-goal deficit, but Perth Pelicans would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-2.

A goal by Liam Hall put Perth Pelicans up 4-0 in the second period, but Perth Sharks pulled to within two on Anthony Barnes's tally 8:06 into the third period.

Hall had two goals and one assist to lead Perth Pelicans. Hall scored the first of his two goals at 14:16 into the second period to make the score 3-0 Perth Pelicans. Kieren Webster provided the assist. Hall's next tally made the score Perth Pelicans with 5:03 left in the second period. Ronan Devahasdin picked up the assist.

Perth Pelicans stifled Perth Sharks' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Perth Pelicans' offense was clicking better than usual and put 28 shots on goal during the game, better than the 3.0 shots per game it averages. Perth Pelicans could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game.

Perth Pelicans also got points from Webster, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Perth Pelicans also got a goal from Zane Cunliffe as well. More assists for Perth Pelicans came via Tom Smail, Lyndon Lodge, and Rhys Dumpleton, who each chipped in one.
