Sydney Sabres beats Melbourne Whalers 5-1 as Kubara gets hat trick

Casey Kubara lifted Sydney Sabres to a 5-1 victory with a hat trick against Melbourne Whalers.

Kubara got on the scoresheet 12:42 into the second period. He then added goals at 17:11 into the second and at 17:59 into the third.

Sydney Sabres managed to stay out of the box for the most part, registering one minor for 22 minutes in penalty time. The total was was till above Sydney Sabres' average of 9.0 minutes in penalty time per game. The 29 shots that Sydney Sabres put on net surpassed Sydney Sabres' average of 4.2 shots per game this season.

Sydney Sabres also got a goal from Hayden Sheard as well. More assists for Sydney Sabres came via Bryan Costa, who had two, Cameron Todd, who had three, and Daniel Pataky and Luke Zvonicek, who contributed one a piece.
