Casey Kubara lifted Sydney Sabres to a 5-1 victory with a hat trick against Melbourne Whalers.

Kubara got on the scoresheet 12:42 into the second period. He then added goals at 17:11 into the second and at 17:59 into the third.

Sydney Sabres managed to stay out of the box for the most part, registering one minor for 22 minutes in penalty time.
