Scott Clemie had two goals to lead Sydney Wolf Pack to victory. Clemie scored at 12:20 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Sydney Wolf Pack and again while 17:42 into the third to make the score 3-1 Sydney Wolf Pack.

Sydney Wolf Pack's offense was clicking better than usual and put 23 shots on goal during the game, better than the 2.8 shots per game it averages.

More assists for Sydney Wolf Pack came via Ben Janiszewski and Jake Knott, who each chipped in one.

Melbourne Whalers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Melbourne Whalers put 20 shots on net during the contest, more than the 1.7 it averages per game.
