Adelaide Adrenaline holds on for 3-2 win against Sydney Sirens

Adelaide Adrenaline survived a determined comeback attempt by Sydney Sirens on the way to a 3-2 win.

Adelaide Adrenaline made the score 2-0 on a goal by Diana Glass at 14:29 in the second period, and Sydney Sirens got as close as 2-1 when Anna Ruut scored 6:31 into the third period.

Glass had a great game for Adelaide Adrenaline, netting two goals.

With 31 shots on target during the contest, Adelaide Adrenaline exceeded the 3.4 shots it averages per game this year. Adelaide Adrenaline found itself short handed often, totaling 18 penalty minutes and allowing nine power plays.

Adelaide Adrenaline also got points from Sarah Boyce, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Adelaide Adrenaline were Taylor Botterill, who had two and Bethanie Kavanagh, Kelly Harris, and Kate Tihema, who each chipped in one.

Sydney Sirens' offense was clicking better than usual and put 27 shots on goal during the game, better than the 1.0 shot per game it averages.

Kaylee White also scored for Sydney Sirens. In addition, Sydney Sirens received assists from Sharna Godfrey, who had two and Stephanie Cochrane and Kath McOnie, who contributed one a piece.

Adelaide Adrenaline's starting goalie, Jo Phillis, made 23 saves and finished with the win before she was taken out in favor of Claudia Tom, who stopped two shots. Adelaide Adrenaline registered one goal on three power play opportunities. Sera Dogramaci made 28 saves for Sydney Sirens on 31 shots. Sydney Sirens incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
