Dallas Stars (MM) beats LA Jr. Kings (MM) 4-2 after comeback scare

LA Jr. Kings (MM) tried to dig itself out of a three-goal hole, but Dallas Stars (MM) held on for a 4-2 victory.

Dallas Stars (MM) took a 4-1 lead during the third period, only to have LA Jr. Kings (MM) storm back on a Devin Mackey goal 5:43 into the third period to pull to two goals down.

Dallas Stars (MM) was led by Andrew Durham, who finished with one goal. Durham scored 17:37 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Dallas Stars (MM). Ryan James picked up the assist.

Dallas Stars (MM) excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances.

Dallas Stars (MM) also got points from Connor Smith, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and JM Piotrowski, who also registered one goal and one assist. Isaac Cirinna also scored for Dallas Stars (MM). Other players who recorded assists for Dallas Stars (MM) were Blake Delisle, who had two and Nick Johnson, Troy York, and Carson Kelley, who each chipped in one.

LA Jr. Kings (MM) was helped by Evan Weinger, who tallied one goal. Weinger scored 2:08 into the second period to make the score 1-0 LA Jr. Kings (MM). Jared Pike provided the assist. In addition, LA Jr. Kings (MM) received assists from Shane McMahan and Doc Gentzler, who contributed one a piece.

Niko Dellamaggiore took the loss and made 14 saves before being replaced by unsure who made four saves. LA Jr. Kings (MM) incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
