Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (MM) vanquishes Dallas Stars (MM) in shootout, 2-1 (2-1 SO)

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (MM) defeated Dallas Stars (MM) in a shootout 2-1 (2-1 SO).

The two teams needed five turns to complete the shootout. Dallas Stars (MM) got a shootout goal from JM Piotrowski. Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (MM)'s other shootout goal was scored by Wes Fry.

Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (MM) overcame a one-goal deficit to capture the victory. Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (MM) trailed 1-0 after a goal by Dallas Stars (MM)'s Piotrowski at 3:40 in the first period. Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (MM) tied things up at 1-1 on a goal by Fry at 14:21 in the first period.
