Dallas Stars (MM) rolls over LA Jr. Kings (MM), 5-2

Dallas Stars (MM) had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-2 win over LA Jr. Kings (MM).

Dallas Stars (MM) put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow LA Jr. Kings (MM) to score on any of its three power plays. Dallas Stars (MM) was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 24 penalty minutes.

Dallas Stars (MM) was helped by Carson Kelley, who tallied one goal and one assist. Kelley scored 11:55 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Dallas Stars (MM). JM Piotrowski assisted on the tally. Dallas Stars (MM) also got points from Colin OBrien, who also had one goal and one assist, Cody Wickline, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Piotrowski, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Dallas Stars (MM) also got a goal from Chris Beck as well. In addition, Dallas Stars (MM) received assists from Nick Johnson, who had two and Ryan James, Isaac Cirinna, Blake Delisle, and Andrew Durham, who contributed one a piece.

LA Jr. Kings (MM)'s offense rang up 32 shots on Dallas Stars (MM)'s net.

LA Jr. Kings (MM) was led by Jared Pike, who tallied one goal. Pike scored 15:37 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Dallas Stars (MM). Jake Vitta picked up the assist. Shane McMahan also scored for LA Jr. Kings (MM). Other players who recorded assists for LA Jr. Kings (MM) were Kyle Orgel and Cole Souto, who each chipped in one.

Brock Thompson rejected 30 shots on goal for Dallas Stars (MM). Dallas Stars (MM) registered zero goals on one power play opportunities. Niko Dellamaggiore took the loss and made six saves before being replaced by tyler caronia who made 11 saves. LA Jr. Kings (MM) incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
