Great Plains and the Team Northwest Velocity Traning Centers skate to 2-2 (OT) tie

Team Northwest rebounded from a two-goal deficit to tie Great Plains, 2-2.

Great Plains excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Great Plains kept the Velocity Traning Centers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Sam Goestsch made 29 saves on 31 shots.

Great Plains was helped by Tanner Skaja, who tallied one goal. Skaja scored 5:36 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Great Plains. Jade Miller picked up the assist. Will Hammer also scored for Great Plains. More assists for Great Plains came via Will Borgan and Jared Spooner, who contributed one a piece.

Team Northwest stifled Great Plains' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Velocity Traning Centers forced Great Plains goalie Jacob Dittmer to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots.

Team Northwest was helped by Chase Springman, who registered one goal. Springman scored 2:26 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Great Plains. Calvin Spencer assisted on the tally. Team Northwest also got a goal from Jacob Jaremko as well. In addition, Team Northwest received assists from Spencer Naas, who had one.

Jacob Dittmer made 34 saves for Great Plains on 36 shots. Great Plains incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Velocity Traning Centers incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors.
