Huge game by Anderson boosts Team Northeast over Team Wisconsin, 7-3Omni Center Sat, Oct 05, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
Joey Anderson was all over the ice for the Team Northeast Mpls St. Paul Magazine, as he tallied two goals and one assist in Team Northeast's 7-3 win over Team Wisconsin. Anderson scored at 6:48 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Team Northeast and again while 13:39 into the first to make the score 2-0 Team Northeast.The Mpls St. Paul Magazine forced Team Wisconsin's goaltenders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, firing 35 shots and forcing 28 saves. Ryan Wischow made 15 stops and Nathan Siclovan made 13. Team Northeast's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Team Wisconsin power plays. Team Northeast also got points from Luke Noterman, who also grabbed one goal and three assists to lead the team in points, Zack Hale, who also racked up one goal and two assists, and Mitchel Slattery, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Team Northeast also got a goal from Tyler Cline as well. More assists for Team Northeast came via John Peterson, who had two and Brandon Noterman, Alex Copa, and Joey Lau, who each chipped in one. Team Wisconsin was led by Connor Blanck, who finished with one goal and one assist. Blanck scored 15:34 into the third period to make the score 7-3 Team Northeast. Mason Appleton picked up the assist. Jake Bresser also scored for Team Wisconsin. In addition, Team Wisconsin received assists from Robby Fosdick, Charlie Graaskamp, Michael Wilson, and Luke Davison, who contributed one a piece. Jake Gerdes rejected 24 shots on goal for the Mpls St. Paul Magazine. Team Northeast incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Team Wisconsin incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
