The Team Northeast Mpls St. Paul Magazine tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the Team Northwest Velocity Traning Centers would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 6-5. A goal by Spencer Naas put Team Northwest up 6-4 in the third period, but Team Northeast pulled to within one on Tyler Cline's tally 15:55 into the third period. The Velocity Traning Centers kept the Mpls St. Paul Magazine's goalie busy throughout the game, and Zach Dirscoll made 25 saves on 31 shots. Team Northwest got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed four goals during the game. The Velocity Traning Centers could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 16 minutes in penalties during the game. Team Northwest was helped by Alex Stevens, who tallied three goals. Team Northwest also got points from Naas, who also racked up one goal and two assists. Tyler Vold also scored for Team Northwest. Team Northeast was helped by Joey Lau, who had one goal and one assist. Lau scored 12:45 into the second period to make the score 4-3 Team Northeast. Brandon Noterman provided the assist.
