Slattery nets hat trick, leads Team Northeast to 8-0 win over Chicago Fury

A hat trick by Mitchel Slattery was the highlight in Mpls St. Paul Magazine's 8-0 win against Chicago Fury.

Slattery notched his first tally 5:25 into the first period. He then added goals at 8:16 into the second and at 16:49 into the third.

The Team Northeast Mpls St. Paul Magazine stifled Chicago Fury's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Team Northeast's goal total was higher than its season average. This season, the Mpls St. Paul Magazine average 5.1 goals per contest. Team Northeast's offense rang up 58 shots on Chicago Fury's net.

Team Northeast also got points from Pete Sienko, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Jake Wahlin, who also registered one goal and one assist. Team Northeast also had goals scored by Joey Anderson, who had one and Brandon Noterman, who had two. Other players who recorded assists for Team Northeast were Zach Weier, John Peterson, Collin Hughes, and Joey Lau, who each chipped in one and Mitch Reinke and Zack Hale, who contributed two a piece.

Zach Dirscoll rejected 11 shots on goal for the Mpls St. Paul Magazine. Team Northeast totaled 25 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 2-for-5 on the power play. Chicago Fury registered zero goals on three power play opportunities.
