The Team Northwest Velocity Traning Centers were firing on all cylinders against Colorado Rampage, and when the final buzzer sounded Velocity Traning Centers emerged with an 8-3 win. Colorado Rampage's power play was ineffective against Team Northwest's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded. The Velocity Traning Centers kept Colorado Rampage's goalie busy throughout the game, and Jacob Weatherly made 38 saves on 46 shots. Team Northwest bested its season scoring average. The Velocity Traning Centers have scored at the pace of 4.0 goals per game during the current campaign. Team Northwest's power play unit failed to produce, and was held to zero goals on 10 chances. The Velocity Traning Centers' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals. Team Northwest was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 30 penalty minutes. Colorado Rampage stifled the Velocity Traning Centers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Colorado Rampage's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Colorado Rampage finished with 42 penalty minutes. Colorado Rampage was helped by Harold Jordan, who racked up one goal. Jordan scored 10:01 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Team Northwest. Jack Suter assisted on the tally. Colorado Rampage also got a goal from Nolan Carothers as well. In addition, Colorado Rampage received assists from Artem Nekrasov and James Huerena, who each chipped in one. Team Northwest's Jens Vaughan Ahrens stopped 23 shots out of the 26 that he faced.
