xTraverse City Hounds had a six-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 12-3 win over Berkley Bruins.

Alex DeVries had two goals to lead xTraverse City Hounds to victory. DeVries' tallies came at 7:35 into the first period to make the score 2-0 xTraverse City Hounds and 9:19 into the second to make the score 3-1 xTraverse City Hounds.

xTraverse City Hounds made Berkley Bruins' goaltenders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, totaling 67 shots and forcing 55 saves. Hunter Myers made 30 stops and Brandon Bawol made 25. xTraverse City Hounds stifled Berkley Bruins' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. xTraverse City Hounds bested its season scoring average. This season, xTraverse City Hounds averages 5.6 goals per contest. The defensemen of xTraverse City Hounds were also effective in Berkley Bruins' zone, and came away with two goals.

xTraverse City Hounds also got points from Scott Luca, who also tallied two goals and one assist, Vaughn Clouston, who also registered two goals and two assists, and Kevin Miloser, who also had one goal and two assists. Jacob Gillis also scored for xTraverse City Hounds. More assists for xTraverse City Hounds came via Patrick Rogowski, who had three, Premysl Synek, who had four, and Kevin Hansen, Josh Smith, and David Krejcik, who each chipped in one.

Berkley Bruins was helped by Timothy Muhsman, who finished with one goal. Muhsman scored 1:28 into the second period to make the score 2-1 xTraverse City Hounds. Cody Hastings assisted on the tally. Berkley Bruins also got a goal from Alex Anderson as well. In addition, Berkley Bruins received assists from Nathan Nelson, Evan Wilson, Adam Jonak, and Jacob Bradley, who contributed one a piece.
