Santo nets hat trick, leads xDetroit Fighting Irish to 9-4 win over Michigan Ice Dogs

Michigan Ice Dogs could not stop xDetroit Fighting Irish's Ryan Santo, who tallied a hat trick in a 9-4 win.

Santo notched his first tally 9:26 into the first period. He then added goals at 8:36 into the second and at 10:22 into the third.

xDetroit Fighting Irish's offense rang up 43 shots on Michigan Ice Dogs' net. xDetroit Fighting Irish bested its season scoring average. xDetroit Fighting Irish averages 4.3 goals per game. xDetroit Fighting Irish's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

xDetroit Fighting Irish also got points from Ryan Brown, who also tallied one goal and one assist and James Stacey, who also racked up one goal and one assist. xDetroit Fighting Irish also had goals scored by Christian Ramage, who had two and Ryan Krolikowski and Anthony Wojciechowski, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for xDetroit Fighting Irish were Joshua Arnold, who had three, Richie Pinkowski and James Smith, who each chipped in one, and Robert Speer, Aaron Robinson, Ryan Morse, Michael Cruse, and Gilbert Guerrero, who contributed two a piece.

Michigan Ice Dogs got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

Jacob Dugan rejected 34 shots on goal for Michigan Ice Dogs. Michigan Ice Dogs ended with no penalties and went 1-for-2 on the power play.
