Behind a great game by Ryan Santo, who had two goals, Detroit Fighting Irish defeated Bloomington Jr Blaze, 6-3. Santo scored at 7:56 into the first period to make the score 1-1 and again while 16:34 into the first to make the score 3-1 Detroit Fighting Irish.Detroit Fighting Irish was often in penalty trouble, totaling seven minors and two majors for 34 minutes in penalty time. Detroit Fighting Irish had been averaging 23.0 minutes in penalties per game. Detroit Fighting Irish stifled Bloomington Jr Blaze's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.
