Although Berkley Bruins was up by as many as three goals in the third period, Michigan Ice Dogs kept the game interesting by staging a comeback that ultimately fell short. Michigan Ice Dogs pulled to within 4-3 on a power play goal by Logan Bennett at 6:51 in the third period.

Berkley Bruins got the win thanks to a great game by Clouston, who had two goals and one assist. Clouston scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 17:13 into the third period to make the score 5-5.
