Nicholas Murphy netted a hat trick to lead Soo Firehawks over Bloomington Jr Blaze, 10-5.

Murphy's first goal came 12:05 into the first period. He then added goals at 2:32 into the third and at 11:30 into the third.

Soo Firehawks forced Bloomington Jr Blaze's goaltenders to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots and forcing 25 saves. Kent Nusbaum made 23 stops and Paul Stomper made two.
