Alpena Street Cats beats Traverse City Hounds 2-1 after comeback scare

Traverse City Hounds tried to dig itself out of a two-goal hole, but Alpena Street Cats held on for a 2-1 victory.

Alpena Street Cats took a 2-0 lead during the first period, only to have Traverse City Hounds storm back on a Patrick Rogowski goal 18:15 into the third period to pull to one goal down.

Alpena Street Cats' Vladislav Graevski was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 40 saves and let only one puck past him. The solid play of Graevski will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 2.47.

Alpena Street Cats put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Traverse City Hounds to score on any of its five power plays. Alpena Street Cats' offense operated below it season average. Alpena Street Cats averages 4.8 goals per game.
