Alpena Street Cats vanquishes Detroit Fighting Irish in shootout, 5-4 (2-1 SO)

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Alpena Street Cats defeated Detroit Fighting Irish in a shootout 5-4 (2-1 SO).

The shootout lasted for 10 attempts between the teams. Detroit Fighting Irish got a shootout goal from Anthony Wojciechowski. Alpena Street Cats also got a shootout goal from Pavel Bocharov.

Alpena Street Cats managed to stay out of the box better than usual, totaling one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Alpena Street Cats finished below its season average of 13.0 penalty minutes per game. Alpena Street Cats' offense rang up 34 shots on Detroit Fighting Irish's net.
