Detroit Fighting Irish vanquishes Traverse City Hounds in shootout, 1-0 (1-0 SO)

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Detroit Fighting Irish defeated Traverse City Hounds in a shootout 1-0 (1-0 SO).

The shootout lasted for nine attempts between the teams.

Christopher Lewis spearheaded the defensive effort for Detroit Fighting Irish, as he did not allow a puck past him and made 28 saves for the shutout. Lewis certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 1.3 entering the contest.
