Traverse City Hounds rips Michigan Ice Dogs, 6-2Centre Ice Sun, Oct 20, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
Traverse City Hounds had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-2 win over Michigan Ice Dogs. Jacob Gillis was all over the ice for Traverse City Hounds, as he tallied two goals and two assists in the win. Gillis scored the first of his two goals at 18:21 into the second period to make the score 3-0 Traverse City Hounds. Cam Fisher provided the assist. Gillis' next tally made the score 4-1 Traverse City Hounds with 18:46 left in the third period. Tyler Thirlby assisted on the tally. Traverse City Hounds pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 37 penalty minutes. Michigan Ice Dogs was led by Brent Young, who had one goal. Young scored 19:25 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Traverse City Hounds. Hunter Ledgerwood also scored for Michigan Ice Dogs. In addition, Michigan Ice Dogs received assists from Cory Markovich and Kerry Cummings, who each chipped in one. David Krejcik made 26 saves for Traverse City Hounds on 28 shots.
