Jacob Gillis netted a hat trick to lead Traverse City Hounds over Michigan Ice Dogs, 8-2.

Gillis got on the scoresheet 3:53 into the first period. He then added goals at 17:03 into the first and at 16:33 into the second.

Traverse City Hounds made Michigan Ice Dogs' netminders to work in net, launching 37 shots and forcing 29 saves. Vincent Ryckman made 18 stops and Jacob Dugan made 11.
