Soo Firehawks completes comeback, beats Alpena Street Cats, 6-5

Soo Firehawks climbed out of a three-goal hole to beat Alpena Street Cats, 6-5.

Soo Firehawks never led in the game until netting the game winner. Soo Firehawks trailed 4-1 after a goal by Alpena Street Cats' Sergey Deev at 12:13 in the second period. Soo Firehawks tied things up at 5-5 on a goal by Nicholas Murphy at 1:12 in the third period. Soo Firehawks scored the game winner at 5:01 in the third period on a goal by Murphy.

Soo Firehawks kept Alpena Street Cats' goalie busy throughout the game, and Vladislav Graevski made 54 saves on 60 shots.

Soo Firehawks also got points from Justin Garton, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Cody Anderson, who also had one goal and one assist. Ryan Marshall also scored for Soo Firehawks. More assists for Soo Firehawks came via Kevin Killips, who had two, Calder Ashton, who had three, and Matthew MacLaren, Andrew Holder, Quinton Myotte, and Taylor McRorie, who each chipped in one.

Soo Firehawks was unable to stop Alpena Street Cats from sending pucks towards the net, and Alpena Street Cats eventually piled up 41 shots on goal.

Alpena Street Cats was led by Konstantin Khramov, who finished with three goals. Alpena Street Cats additionally got points from Andrei Yanovich, who also grabbed one goal and one assist.
