LA Jr. Kings (mm) hangs on, beats Cleveland Barons (mm) 2-1

Chase DiBari scored the go-ahead goal in the first period, and LA Jr. Kings (mm) held off the challenges of Cleveland Barons (mm) in a tough 2-1 win.

A goal 2:27 into the the first period by DiBari proved to be the game winner, and powered LA Jr. Kings (mm) to the victory Kailer Yamamoto provided the assist.

Cleveland Barons (mm)'s power play was ineffective against LA Jr. Kings (mm)'s penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

LA Jr. Kings (mm) was sparked by Evan Johnson, who tallied one goal. Johnson scored on the power play 5:30 into the first period to make the score 2-0 LA Jr. Kings (mm). LA Jr. Kings (mm) had taken the advantage when Cleveland Barons (mm)'s TIMOTHY GETTINGER got sent off for hooking. Yamamoto picked up the assist.

LA Jr. Kings (mm) forced Cleveland Barons (mm) goalie ADAM SCHEEL to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots.

In addition, LA Jr. Kings (mm) received assists from Aaron Aragon, who had one.

More assists for Cleveland Barons (mm) came via ANDREW QUETELL and JUSTIN WELLS, who each chipped in one.

Garrett Nieto made 20 saves for LA Jr. Kings (mm) on 21 shots. LA Jr. Kings (mm) incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. SCHEEL recorded 30 saves for Cleveland Barons (mm). Cleveland Barons (mm) incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors.
