Tanya Winchcombe had a standout game with 26 saves, and xOTTAWA beat ETOBICOKE 4-1. Rebecca Leslie (C) was all over the ice for xOTTAWA, as she registered two goals in the win. Leslie (C) scored at 6:22 into the third period to make the score 2-1 xOTTAWA and again while 15:49 into the third to make the score 4-1 xOTTAWA. xOTTAWA also got points from Samantha Bouley, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. xOTTAWA also got a goal from Amanda Titus (A) as well. In addition, xOTTAWA received assists from Sophie Veronneau (PU), who had two and Stacy Galasso and Tasza Tarnowski (PU), who each chipped in one. ETOBICOKE put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow xOTTAWA to score on any of its six power plays. ETOBICOKE was led by Madison MacCulloch, who scored the team's only goal. MacCulloch scored 5:55 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Julia Parente picked up the assist. xOTTAWA incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Christie Honor recorded 25 saves for ETOBICOKE. ETOBICOKE incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. ETOBICOKE ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Erin Locke was ejected from the game. |
