MISSISSAUGA downs LONDON in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

Ainsley MacMillan gave MISSISSAUGA a 3-2 (OT) victory over LONDON when she scored 3:03 into the extra period.

MISSISSAUGA nearly gave up a two-score lead. MISSISSAUGA made the score 2-0 on a goal by MacMillan at 6:42 in the second period. LONDON got to within 2-1 on a goal by April Clark at 12:39 in the third period.

MacMillan had two goals to lead MISSISSAUGA to victory.

MISSISSAUGA was held back by its power play unit, which tallied two goals on nine chances. MISSISSAUGA got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game. MISSISSAUGA was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 22 penalty minutes.

MISSISSAUGA also got points from Victoria Bach, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for MISSISSAUGA were Shana Walker, who had two and Nadine Edney, Dana Bryce, and Kelly Mariani, who each chipped in one.

LONDON's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as LONDON finished with 24 penalty minutes.

LONDON also got a goal from Nicole Miners as well. In addition, LONDON received assists from Kaylie Dennis (A), who had one and Jenna Gray (A), who had two.

Alysia DaSilva recorded 27 saves for MISSISSAUGA. Kassi Welch rejected 25 shots on goal for LONDON. LONDON registered one goal on six power play opportunities.
