NEPEAN survives MISSISSAUGA comeback, wins 4-2

MISSISSAUGA tried its best to erase a three-goal deficit, but NEPEAN would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-2.

NEPEAN made the score 4-1 on a goal by Addi Halladay at 12:47 in the third period, and MISSISSAUGA got as close as 4-2 when Stephanie Sucharda scored 15:21 into the third period.

NEPEAN was sparked by Lindsay Eastwood, who finished with one goal. Eastwood scored 3:31 into the third period to make the score 3-1 NEPEAN. Katryne Villeneuve picked up the assist.

NEPEAN's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Others who scored for NEPEAN included Blake Orosz and Josiane Pozzebon, who scored one goal each. More assists for NEPEAN came via Jenna MacDonald, Sam Cogan, and Carolyn Williams, who contributed one a piece.

MISSISSAUGA's defense let in more goals than it usually has this year. MISSISSAUGA is averaging 1.4 goal against for the season.

MISSISSAUGA also got a goal from Nadine Edney as well. In addition, MISSISSAUGA received assists from Kaitlin Lowy, Victoria Bach, Kelly Mariani, and Lindsay Agnew, who each chipped in one.

Kira Bombay rejected 18 shots on goal for NEPEAN. NEPEAN incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Alysia DaSilva recorded 24 saves for MISSISSAUGA. MISSISSAUGA incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors and had no power play opportunities.
