MISSISSAUGA hangs on, beats OTTAWA 3-1

MISSISSAUGA beat OTTAWA, 3-1, in a contest where the winning goal was scored in the first period but the game remained close throughout.

Alex Rodriguez provided MISSISSAUGA with the game-winning tally when she scored 14:11 into the the first period. Victoria Bach picked up the assist.

MISSISSAUGA's Amelia Boughn was a brick wall in net, as she came up with 26 saves and let only one puck past him. Boughn managed to improve on her goals against average, which stood at 1.61 prior to the game.

MISSISSAUGA was led by Rodriguez, who tallied one goal.

MISSISSAUGA additionally got points from Bach, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Kristen Lucas also scored for MISSISSAUGA. More assists for MISSISSAUGA came via Nadine Edney, Kelly Mariani, Ainsley MacMillan, and Laura Wood, who contributed one a piece.
