WATERLOO had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-0 win over AURORA.

WATERLOO was paced by Kaitlyn Hanson, who had one goal. Hanson scored 1:36 into the first period to make the score 1-0 WATERLOO. Samantha Squires picked up the assist.

WATERLOO's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five AURORA power plays. AURORA was unable to stop WATERLOO from sending pucks towards the net, and WATERLOO eventually piled up 37 shots on goal. WATERLOO bested its season scoring average. This season, WATERLOO averages 2.5 goals per contest.

WATERLOO also got points from Kendra Puttick, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. WATERLOO also had goals scored by Taylor Weber, Kaelyn Toews (PU), and Hannah Davidson, who scored one goal each. In addition, WATERLOO received assists from Amber Sealey, who had two and Taylor Walker, Amanda Chiarello, Karleigh Herd, and Jocelyn Lubert, who contributed one a piece.

Penalties took their toll on AURORA, as its penalty kill unit let in two power play goals.

WATERLOO's Cohen Myers stopped 16 shots out of the 16 that she faced. WATERLOO incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Nicholle Kovach rejected 32 shots on goal for AURORA. AURORA incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
