Bach leads MISSISSAUGA over KINGSTON, 3-1

Victoria Bach had two goals and one assist to lead MISSISSAUGA to a 3-1 victory over KINGSTON.

Bach's tallies came at 31 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-1 and 1:01 into the second to make the score 2-1 MISSISSAUGA.

KINGSTON was stymied by MISSISSAUGA netminder Alysia DaSilva, who stopped 29 shots during the victory. The solid play of DaSilva will be reflected in her goals against average, which pre-game was 1.24.

MISSISSAUGA pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 10 penalty minutes.

MISSISSAUGA stifled KINGSTON's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

MISSISSAUGA also got points from Kelly Mariani, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. In addition, MISSISSAUGA received assists from Nadine Edney, Caitlyn Sadowy, and Jacky Miller, who each chipped in one.

KINGSTON was led by Shelby Perry (A), who scored the team's only goal. Perry (A) scored nine seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 KINGSTON. Kailey Peirson provided the assist.

MISSISSAUGA registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. KINGSTON's Elizabeth Spinozzi stopped 25 shots out of the 28 that she faced. KINGSTON incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
