Cogan's big game bests ETOBICOKE in 4-1 NEPEAN win

Behind a great game by Sam Cogan, who had two goals and one assist, NEPEAN defeated ETOBICOKE, 4-1.

Cogan's tallies came at 10:18 into the second period to make the score 2-0 NEPEAN and 8:04 into the third to make the score 4-1 NEPEAN.

NEPEAN put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow ETOBICOKE to score on any of its three power plays. ETOBICOKE was unable to stop NEPEAN from sending pucks towards the net, and NEPEAN eventually piled up 40 shots on goal.

NEPEAN also had goals scored by Alyssa Baker and Lindsay Eastwood, who each put in one. More assists for NEPEAN came via Addi Halladay, who had two and Shana Alexander, Katryne Villeneuve, Nicole Halladay (PU), and Josiane Pozzebon, who each chipped in one.

ETOBICOKE was led by Katia Piccoli, who scored the team's only goal. Piccoli scored 3:47 into the third period to make the score 2-1 NEPEAN. Larissa Borowiec picked up the assist.

Kira Bombay rejected 22 shots on goal for NEPEAN. NEPEAN incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Christi Honor recorded 36 saves for ETOBICOKE. ETOBICOKE incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
