CAMBRIDGE wins tough contest against BLUEWATER, 5-3

The game between CAMBRIDGE and BLUEWATER was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end CAMBRIDGE emerged with a 5-3 win.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Miranda Lantz secured the win for CAMBRIDGE with a goal in the third period.

CAMBRIDGE got the win with help from a great game by Lantz, who had one goal and three assists. Lantz scored 16:25 into the third period to make the score 4-3 CAMBRIDGE. Aylssa Chiarello picked up the assist.

CAMBRIDGE's goal total was higher than its season average. CAMBRIDGE has scored at the pace of 2.1 goals per game during the current campaign.

CAMBRIDGE also had goals scored by Megan Hart (PU), who had two and Hannah Askin and Angela MacDonald, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for CAMBRIDGE were Beatrice Harrietha, who had two.

BLUEWATER stifled CAMBRIDGE's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. BLUEWATER kept CAMBRIDGE's goalie busy throughout the game, and Lauren Webber made 44 saves on 47 shots. BLUEWATER's defense let in more goals than it usually has this year. BLUEWATER is averaging 2.4 goals against for the season.

BLUEWATER was led by Krystin Lawrence, who registered three goals. In addition, BLUEWATER received assists from Davis Smith (PU), Karley Campbell, Amanda Moore, and Katherine Bailey, who each chipped in one.

CAMBRIDGE incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. BLUEWATER's Carley Molnar stopped 23 shots out of the 27 that she faced. BLUEWATER incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
