CAMBRIDGE rips AURORA, 4-1

CAMBRIDGE had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-1 win over AURORA.

CAMBRIDGE was led by Aylssa Chiarello, who registered one goal and one assist. Chiarello scored 11:46 into the first period to make the score 2-0 CAMBRIDGE. Miranda Lantz picked up the assist.

CAMBRIDGE's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three AURORA power plays. CAMBRIDGE got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

CAMBRIDGE additionally got points from Lantz, who also tallied one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Others who scored for CAMBRIDGE included Morgan Rolph and Amanda McClure, who each put in one. In addition, CAMBRIDGE received assists from Emma Davidson, who had two and Jackie Haalboom, Angela MacDonald, and Laine Padovan, who each chipped in one.

AURORA was led by Breanna Kenning, who scored the team's only goal. Kenning scored 8:56 into the second period to make the score 3-1 CAMBRIDGE. Steffei Samuel provided the assist.

CAMBRIDGE's Lauren Webber stopped 18 shots out of the 19 that she faced. CAMBRIDGE incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Nicholle Kovach recorded 19 saves for AURORA. AURORA incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
