WHITBY tried to dig itself out of a two-goal hole, but MISSISSAUGA held on for a 2-1 victory.

A goal by Shana Walker put MISSISSAUGA up 2-0 in the third period, but WHITBY pulled to within one on Rhyen McGill's tally 19:05 into the third period.

MISSISSAUGA was led by goalie Amelia Boughn, who finished with 41 saves while allowing one goal. Boughn managed to improve on her goals against average, which stood at 1.8 prior to the game.

MISSISSAUGA stifled WHITBY's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

MISSISSAUGA also got a goal from Victoria Bach as well. In addition, MISSISSAUGA received assists from Kaitlin Lowy and Alex Rodriguez, who each chipped in one.

WHITBY managed to stay out of the box better than usual, totaling one minor for two minutes in penalty time. WHITBY wound up below its season average of 11.0 penalty minutes per game.
