TORONTO shrugs off penalties, upends KINGSTON, 2-1

TORONTO, which found itself down a man often, weathered KINGSTON's power play opportunities and emerged with a 2-1 victory.

TORONTO was paced by Breanne Wilson-Bennett, who finished with one goal and one assist. Wilson-Bennett scored 7:24 into the second period to make the score 2-1 TORONTO. Taytum Clairmont picked up the assist.

TORONTO's offense rang up 35 shots on KINGSTON's net.

TORONTO also got a goal from Kaitlin Tse as well. More assists for TORONTO came via MacKenzie MacNeil and Jessie Eldridge, who contributed one a piece.

KINGSTON was led by Shelby Perry (A), who scored the team's only goal. Perry (A) scored 14:56 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Erran Lee assisted on the tally.

TORONTO's starting goalie, Ally Sarna, made seven saves and finished with the win before she was taken out in favor of Sarah Stephens, who stopped 12 shots. TORONTO incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Jensen Murphy rejected 33 shots on goal for KINGSTON. KINGSTON incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
