CAMBRIDGE beats SOUTHWEST 3-2 after comeback scare

CAMBRIDGE survived a determined comeback attempt by SOUTHWEST on the way to a 3-2 win.

CAMBRIDGE made the score 3-1 on a goal by Aylssa Chiarello at 4:45 in the third period, and SOUTHWEST got as close as 3-2 when Celine Frappier scored 17:47 into the third period.

CAMBRIDGE was sparked by Chiarello, who tallied one goal.

CAMBRIDGE forced SOUTHWEST's goalies to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, totaling 38 shots and forcing 35 saves. Hanna Slater made 30 stops and Kayla Loberg made five.

CAMBRIDGE also got points from Emma Davidson, who also racked up one goal and one assist. CAMBRIDGE also got a goal from Rebecca Haddaway as well. Other players who recorded assists for CAMBRIDGE were Miranda Lantz, who had two and Hannah Askin, Beatrice Harrietha, and Morgan Rolph, who contributed one a piece.

SOUTHWEST additionally got points from Ashley Maitre, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. More assists for SOUTHWEST came via Amy Maitre, who had one.

Lauren Webber made 13 saves for CAMBRIDGE on 15 shots. CAMBRIDGE incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. SOUTHWEST incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
