OTTAWA beats LEASIDE 5-0 as Gaudreault gains shutout

Shawlee Gaudreault was superb between the pipes for OTTAWA, as she did not allow a goal in a 5-0 victory over LEASIDE.

OTTAWA was sparked by Kimiko Marinacci, who had one goal. Marinacci scored 3:11 into the first period to make the score 1-0 OTTAWA. Rebecca Leslie (C) provided the assist.

OTTAWA made LEASIDE's goalies to work between the pipes, ripping 43 shots and forcing 38 saves. Karen Morenz made one stops and Karly Stratos made 37. OTTAWA found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. OTTAWA has scored at the pace of 2.7 goals per game during the current campaign.

OTTAWA also got points from Anonda Hoppner (PU), who also had one goal and one assist and Leslie (C), who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. OTTAWA also had goals scored by Amanda Titus (A) and Leah Buchanan, who each put in one. More assists for OTTAWA came via Samantha Bouley, who had two and Maggie Knott, Amanda Ieradi, Katelyn Fournier, and Caileah Forrest, who each chipped in one.

LEASIDE excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

Shawlee Gaudreault made 27 saves for OTTAWA on 27 shots. OTTAWA incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. LEASIDE incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
