Holden's goals lift CAMBRIDGE to 5-2 victory over SOUTHWEST

Behind a great game by Rachel Holden, who had two goals, CAMBRIDGE defeated SOUTHWEST, 5-2.

Holden's tallies came at 8:36 into the first period to make the score 1-0 CAMBRIDGE and 3:30 into the third to make the score 3-2 CAMBRIDGE.

CAMBRIDGE's goal total was higher than its season average. CAMBRIDGE averages 2.1 goals per game.

CAMBRIDGE also got points from Beatrice Harrietha, who also grabbed one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Shannon Pearson (PU) also scored for CAMBRIDGE. In addition, CAMBRIDGE received assists from Miranda Lantz, who had one and Hannah Askin, Julia Schnurr, and Brooklyn Davis, who contributed two a piece.

SOUTHWEST kept CAMBRIDGE's goalie busy throughout the game, and Julia Vandyk made 29 saves on 31 shots.

SOUTHWEST was led by Savannah Bouzide, who registered one goal and one assist. Bouzide scored 14:13 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Angeline Taiariol assisted on the tally. SOUTHWEST also got a goal from Muna Fadel as well. More assists for SOUTHWEST came via Jordyn Wade and Monica Sokolowski, who each chipped in one.

CAMBRIDGE incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Hanna Slater rejected 25 shots on goal for SOUTHWEST. SOUTHWEST incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
