WATERLOO falls to MISSISSAUGA in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

MISSISSAUGA's Ashley Rothon scored 3:58 into overtime to beat WATERLOO, 2-1 (OT).

Rothon had a great game for MISSISSAUGA, netting two goals.

MISSISSAUGA was led by goalie Alysia DaSilva, who finished with 33 saves while allowing one goal. DaSilva certainly lowered her goals against average, which was 1.49 entering the contest.

MISSISSAUGA excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. MISSISSAUGA forced WATERLOO goalie Shea Tiley to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots. The defensemen of MISSISSAUGA were also effective in WATERLOO's zone, and came away with two goals.

In addition, MISSISSAUGA received assists from Victoria Bach, Alex Rodriguez, and Kelly Mariani, who each chipped in one.

MISSISSAUGA was unable to stop WATERLOO from sending pucks towards the net, and WATERLOO eventually piled up 34 shots on goal.

WATERLOO was led by Kaelyn Toews (PU), who scored the team's only goal. Toews (PU) scored 13:10 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Taylor Weber picked up the assist.

MISSISSAUGA incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Shea Tiley made 31 saves for WATERLOO on 33 shots. WATERLOO incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
