BLUEWATER blows out SOUTHWEST, 4-1Forest Glade Arena Tue, Nov 12, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
BLUEWATER had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-1 win over SOUTHWEST. Krystin Lawrence had two goals to lead BLUEWATER to victory. Lawrence found the back of the net 43 seconds into the second period to make the score 2-0 BLUEWATER and again while 9:40 into the second to make the score 3-0 BLUEWATER. BLUEWATER's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five SOUTHWEST power plays. BLUEWATER forced SOUTHWEST goalie Hanna Slater to work between the pipes, taking 46 shots. Lauren Lefler also scored for BLUEWATER. In addition, BLUEWATER received assists from Davis Smith (PU), who had two and Abby Dortmans, Karley Campbell, Amanda Moore, Morgan McCann, and Kaila Pinkney, who each chipped in one. SOUTHWEST could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game. BLUEWATER's Carley Molnar stopped 18 shots out of the 19 that she faced. BLUEWATER incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Slater recorded 42 saves for SOUTHWEST. |
