OTTAWA beats MISSISSAUGA 3-0 as Winchcombe gains shutout

Tanya Winchcombe was superb between the pipes for OTTAWA, as she did not allow a goal in a 3-0 victory over MISSISSAUGA.

OTTAWA was led by Katelyn Fournier, who finished with one goal. Fournier scored 22 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 OTTAWA. Rebecca Leslie (C) picked up the assist.

OTTAWA stifled MISSISSAUGA's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. OTTAWA's offense rang up 47 shots on MISSISSAUGA's net.

OTTAWA additionally got points from Amanda Ieradi, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Leslie (C), who also had one goal and two assists. Other players who recorded assists for OTTAWA were Cassidy Herman, who had one.

MISSISSAUGA put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow OTTAWA to score on any of its nine power plays.
