NEPEAN rolls over OTTAWA, 3-0

NEPEAN had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 3-0 win over OTTAWA.

NEPEAN was paced by Katryne Villeneuve, who grabbed one goal. Villeneuve scored 14:16 into the first period to make the score 1-0 NEPEAN. Sam Cogan assisted on the tally.

NEPEAN put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow OTTAWA to score on any of its five power plays. OTTAWA was unable to stop NEPEAN from sending pucks towards the net, and NEPEAN eventually piled up 32 shots on goal.

NEPEAN also got points from Cogan, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Dallis Ferguson also scored for NEPEAN. In addition, NEPEAN received assists from Lindsay Eastwood and Josiane Pozzebon, who each chipped in one.

OTTAWA stifled NEPEAN's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. OTTAWA could not produce up to it normal offensive output. OTTAWA puts an average of 2.3 pucks into the net per game.

Kira Bombay made 15 saves for NEPEAN on 15 shots. NEPEAN incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. OTTAWA's Shawlee Gaudreault stopped 29 shots out of the 32 that she faced. OTTAWA incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
