Huge game by Bach boosts MISSISSAUGA over LEASIDE, 6-2Leaside Arena Sun, Oct 06, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
Victoria Bach had two goals and two assists to lead MISSISSAUGA to a 6-2 victory over LEASIDE. Bach's tallies came at 7:45 into the first period to make the score 1-0 MISSISSAUGA and 10:14 into the first to make the score 2-0 MISSISSAUGA.LEASIDE fell victim to a deadly MISSISSAUGA power play, which ripped LEASIDE for four goals. LEASIDE was unable to stop MISSISSAUGA from sending pucks towards the net, and MISSISSAUGA eventually piled up 41 shots on goal. MISSISSAUGA could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game. MISSISSAUGA also got a goal from Nadine Edney as well. Other players who recorded assists for MISSISSAUGA were Ainsley MacMillan, who had four and Kristen Lucas, Ashley Rothon, and Laura Wood, who contributed one a piece. LEASIDE struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 18 penalty minutes for seven opposing power plays. LEASIDE was helped by Kimberly Brown (PU), who racked up one goal. Brown (PU) scored 9:44 into the second period to make the score 2-1 MISSISSAUGA. Alyssa Connolly provided the assist. LEASIDE also got points from Connolly, who also finished with one goal and one assist. In addition, LEASIDE received assists from Rachel Dowdall (PU), who had one. MISSISSAUGA's starting goalie, Amelia Boughn, made 15 saves and finished with the win before she was taken out in favor of Alysia DaSilva, who stopped four shots. Karly Stratos made 35 saves for LEASIDE on 41 shots. LEASIDE registered one goal on five power play opportunities. |
