OTTAWA holds on for 3-1 win against WATERLOO

WATERLOO tried to dig itself out of a three-goal hole, but OTTAWA held on for a 3-1 victory.

A goal by Amanda Titus (A) put OTTAWA up 3-0 in the third period, but WATERLOO pulled to within two on Hannah Davidson's tally 15:09 into the third period.

OTTAWA's Tanya Winchcombe was a brick wall in net, as she came up with 32 saves and let only one puck past him. Despite the solid performance, Winchcombe will actually see her goals against average rise, as it stood at 1.2 entering the contest.

OTTAWA excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. WATERLOO was unable to stop OTTAWA from sending pucks towards the net, and OTTAWA eventually piled up 37 shots on goal.

OTTAWA was helped by Stacy Galasso, who had one goal. Galasso scored 6:45 into the third period to make the score 2-0 OTTAWA. Rebecca Leslie (C) assisted on the tally. OTTAWA also got a goal from Cassidy Herman as well.

WATERLOO's offense rang up 33 shots on OTTAWA's net.

In addition, WATERLOO received assists from Laura Irwin and Mary Worndl, who each chipped in one.

OTTAWA incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Shea Tiley recorded 34 saves for WATERLOO. WATERLOO incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
