Okada nets hat trick, leads Helena to 6-0 win over Great Falls

The Great Falls Americans could not stop the Helena Bighorns' Nick Okada, who tallied a hat trick in a 6-0 win.

Okada's first goal came 16:45 into the first period. He then added goals at 1:40 into the third and at 7:48 into the third.

Helena made Americans' goaltenders to work between the pipes, taking 56 shots and forcing 50 saves. Erik Powell made 42 stops and Evan Hauser made eight. The Bighorns' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Great Falls power plays. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with five goals.

Helena also got points from Dylan Webster, who also had one goal and one assist. Helena also got a goal from Sam Bratten as well. In addition, Helena received assists from Sebastian Hansson, who had three, Theo Campe, Logan Henne, and Corbin Belling, who contributed one a piece, and Damon Hanson and Kyle Baker, who each chipped in two.

Great Falls was held below its usual level of production. The Americans put an average of 4.4 pucks into the net per game.

Austin Brihn rejected 16 shots on goal for Helena. The Bighorns incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Great Falls incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
