The Yellowstone Quake's Josh Neumann had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 5-1 win over the Bozeman Icedogs.

Neumann's tallies came on the power play at 6:03 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Yellowstone and on the power play 8:32 into the second to make the score 4-0 Yellowstone.

Yellowstone was led by goalie Sean Leahy, who finished with 31 saves while allowing one goal. Leahy certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 4.08 entering the contest.

The Quake's penalty kill excelled, as Yellowstone gave up one goal despite allowing seven power plays.

The Quake forced their penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up five minors and two majors for 40 minutes in penalty time. Yellowstone surpassed its season average of 26.0 penalty minutes per game. The Quake made Bozeman's netminders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, totaling 48 shots and forcing 43 saves. Duane Bartek made five stops and Zach Skop made 38. Yellowstone surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Quake average 2.8 goals per game. Yellowstone cashed in on power play opportunities, scoring two goals on three chances.

Yellowstone additionally got points from Sawyer Scanlan, who also finished with one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Yellowstone included Doug Keller and TJay Lozier, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Yellowstone were James Pyle, who had two and Edison Elder, Reed Kaiser, Mike McCullen, and Ryan Garvey, who contributed one a piece.

The Icedogs' offense rang up 32 shots on the Quake's net.

Bozeman also got a goal from Ryan Erickson as well.

Yellowstone ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Lozier was ejected from the game. Bozeman ended with 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major.
