Great Falls rips Glacier, 5-1

The Great Falls Americans were firing on all cylinders against Glacier, and when the final buzzer sounded Americans emerged with a 5-1 win.

Great Falls was led by goalie Evan Hauser, who finished with 26 saves while allowing one goal. The solid play of Hauser will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 2.38.

The Americans' penalty kill excelled, as Great Falls gave up one goal despite allowing seven power plays.

The Americans forced Glacier's goalies to work all game long, firing 45 shots and forcing 40 saves. Pierre Gustafsson made three stops and Ethan Wiese made 37.

Great Falls was helped by Johnathan Carpenter, who finished with one goal. Carpenter scored 1:43 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Great Falls. Great Falls also got points from Cody Page, who also grabbed one goal and two assists to lead the team in points and Steven Goran, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Great Falls included Dylan Garton and Brady Christiaens, who scored one goal each. More assists for Great Falls came via Aaron McInnis, who had two and Paul Sartuche and Max Kaercher, who contributed one a piece.

Glacier also got a goal from Austin Givens as well. Other players who recorded assists for Glacier were Cody McGlocklin and Tucker Spooner, who each chipped in one.

The Americans incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Glacier incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
